
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
On the lonely countryside during the Great Depression, two men, George and Lennie, find companionship and reliance on each other. George, a short, burly man, finds purpose in life by taking care of Lennie, who is mentally challenged. After an incident in a town where Lennie is accused of rape, they escape capture and travel to find work on a ranch. They believe collecting enough money to buy themselves a piece of land where they can live in peace. George and Lennie make new friends and come very close in fulfilling their dream. However, trouble starts brewing on the ranch when Lennie gets into a fight. Will George and Lennie ever find the peace they desire so much?
