My favorite young adult book of the year so far. Even though Amber Appleton is homeless and has to deal with a mom who is an alchoholic, she is upbeat,optimistic, and loves to spread happiness wherever she goes. Nothing defeats her until a horrible tragedy sends her spiraling into a deep depression. Follow Amber's climb out of one of the worst situations any child could face. Come and meet all the wonderful supporting charcters who play such an important role in Amber's life. While Amber may seem way too good to be true, I will not soon forget her and hope to see more books about her.
