Jaiden Beale is not a “normal’ kid. He doesn not have a family or any relatives. Jaiden is the first kid to ever be raised by a corporation. NECorp’s headquarters are the closest thing Jaiden has to a home, and Nancy, his manager is nothing like a mother. All of the decisions parents would normally make for their kids are made by study and research groups for Jaiden. Now Jaiden is turning 14 and NECorp is making profiles of people Jaiden is allowed to date. Ever since birth Jaiden has been completely dependant on NECorp and now he is finding out that NECorp has been poisoning the local water supply with mercury. Jaiden has to make choices about who he can trust and what he has to do to fix this whole big mess. It doesn’t help that the girl Jaiden has liked since forever has a dad who is trying to bring down NECorp. A great plot-line and a very interesting ending. 5 stars
