Book Pick of the Week - Librarian's Pick

Wonder by R.J. Palacio

Wonder is one of those rare, powerful, beautifully written books that is highly recommended for children, teens, and adults of all ages. Auggie Pullman is a 5th grader who was born with severe facial abnormalities. After being homeschooled for his entire life, Auggie is now enrolled in public school. Your heart will break as you  feel Auggie's pain and humiliation as other students look at him in horror and fear.   The book is told from multiple points of view, including Auggie's, his sister who has just entered high school, and several classmates.  You will not soon forget Auggie Pullman -   I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
