A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron This book is about a dog who is born into a family of stray dogs. The dog ends up being put down. Shortly after its death, the dog wakes up as a puppy again. The dog keeps dying and being reborn as a puppy. Throughout its lives, it learns many survival skills. In the end, it comes together in a bitter-sweet ending. This book is highly recommended for middle school students and anyone who loves dogs.
